Chantler was founded in 1930 by two brothers who were pioneers in the emerging plastics field. The company they started, Chantler and Chantler, sold some of the first injection moulding machinery imported into North America. In addition, they sold a range of early plastics for application like buttons, shaving brush handles, and other products typical of the time.
The company began to extend into flexible packaging in the 1960s, creating some of the most innovative products for industrial and agricultural applications.
In the 1980s, the company was a leader in floral packaging. At that time, it added film extrusion and printing to its list of capabilities.
After the turn of the millennium, the company underwent a strategic reorientation to focus on food packaging. This led the company into high-quality printing, food-friendly materials, and more export sales. Chantler developed an innovative shelf life extension packaging technology, PrimePro®, for fresh produce.
In 2017, Chantler became Chantler Packages when they partnered with Packages Ltd from Pakistan to form a strategic joint venture!
